The ball has three different positions. Fast mode, slow mode and interactive mode that occurs when your animal pokes the ball. Blue light means fast mode. Purple light means slow mode and yellow light means interactive mode.

Note that the fast mode is a very fast mode and may cause some animals to find it a little scary when first used. Therefore, we recommend that the first few times your animal plays with it, you use the slow mode so that it gets used to its new toy. Then you can easily continue using all the different modes.
